The Very Reverend Dean G. Borgmeyer has been pastor of Saint Joseph Parish, Grade School, and Central Catholic High School since May of 2012. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston on June 6, 1981 and has served in a variety of parishes throughout West Virginia and served 3 years as a Chaplain in the United States Navy. He is a native of the Saint Charles, Missouri. Monsignor Borgmeyer’s family moved to Huntington in the late 1958, attending both Saint Joseph and Our Lady of Fatima parishes and schools. In addition to his pastoral and sacramental duties at Saint Joseph Parish, Monsignor Borgmeyer serves at the diocesan level as the Vicar Forane for the Charleston Vicariate, sits on the diocesan school board, and is a member of the Clergy Personnel Committee which assists the Bishop in assigning priests to parishes.
