Principal
 

Dr. Templeton has served as principal of St. Joseph Catholic School since 2004. Her professional career includes over twenty years of educational experience as a teacher, department head, director of curriculum and assessment, and administrator. Dr. Templeton has experience working in both public and private schools in England and the United States. She completed her Bachelor of Education degree from Birmingham University, England; a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership, Curriculum Supervision, and Superintendent from Marshall University, West Virginia; and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Morehead State University, Kentucky.

In addition to her administrative duties, Dr. Templeton serves on AdvancED External and Internal Review Teams throughout the United States. Appointed by the Governor of West Virginia, Mr. J. Manchin in 2005, Dr. Templeton served as Vice-Chair to the Commission to the Arts for the State of West Virginia until 2017. In 2018, Dr. Templeton was awarded Doctoral Student of the Year from Morehead State University, along with recognition for presentations focused on Special Education in the Catholic School Environment and Analysis of Standardized Tests. Dr. Templeton has two wonderful boys, Liam, and Lucas, who are students at St. Joseph Catholic School.
