Bethany Woods is a creative nonfiction essayist and poet. A Huntington native, she attended Marshall University and graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Creative Writing. Later, she attended Marshall University’s English graduate program, earning a Master’s degree in English. Around this time, she also taught English Composition courses at the university. Most recently, Bethany attended and taught at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She graduated from WWU with a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing (with an emphasis on poetry). She has taught 10th-12th grade English at St. Joseph Central Catholic High School for approximately four years. She is the school advisor of Key Club and National English Honor Society. She now resides in Ohio.
