St. Joseph Central Catholic High School is accepting applications for a full-time Mathematics teacher beginning during the 2020-2021 school year. Classroom responsibilities include teaching advanced mathematics courses, including AP Calculus AB/BC. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for teaching math in a rigorous, college-preparatory environment. Educators will be able to mentor and instruct students, building strong and positive relationships with students and families. Candidates must possess excellent knowledge of course content and teach students how to critically analyze and think, emphasizing modeling and problem-solving skills. A Master’s Degree is required to teach dual credit courses through Marshall University. Candidates must have a West Virginia Teaching Certificate or have plans to obtain one. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential for this position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
