The girls’ basketball team at St. Joseph Central Catholic High School welcomes all students who are interested in playing basketball.

The team has been to the WV state finals for the last 12 straight seasons. They have won 9 state championships, with 2019 being the most recent title. The team has had numerous All-State players and McDonald’s All-American nominees. The team has had two players receive Gatorade Player of the Year Honors. Mychal Johnson won it twice (2012-13, 2013-14), and Grace Hutson (2019-20). Shannon Lewis currently coaches the team.
