Biography: Mrs. Appell was raised in Proctorville, Ohio and graduated from Fairland High School in 1979.  She earned a BA in Counseling and Rehabilitation and a Masters in School Counseling. She began working at St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in the fall of 1998.  As the School Counselor she is in charge of S.C.O.R.E.S. (Academic Festival at Marshall University), Created Life Skills Day (a day where students learn the must-know skills that are not taught in the classroom), Testing, School Grade Program, Graduation, and she began the Fellowship of Student Athletes club at St. Joseph.  She is married to Tim and has a daughter, Ashley (Joab) and 2 grandsons, Max and Myles, who attend St. Joseph Catholic School.  “Leadership isn’t about winning.
